1. In what ways has being a follower of Jesus changed your life?

I find that I have a deeper sense of appreciation of creation; I am more concerned about other people and want them to follow Jesus as well. Whenever there are difficult choices to make or life situations are tough, I know I can trust that they will change, not always in my favor, but for my good. I have found myself being mindful of others. We live in a materialistic world and most are only concerned about their needs and wants, but I think if God gave his Son Jesus for my life, how can I share what God has given me with others or tell them about His love?

2. If someone said to you, “Why should I become a follower of Jesus?”, what would you say?

I would say….Because He died to take our sin away and he longs to befriend us and make us better people.

3. Which person (aside from Jesus) do you admire the most and why?

That would have to be my mother. She had six children, but had a full time job and always kept her home in order. She had a difficult marriage at times but never gave up, never complained and held the family together. This turned her marriage around. I see in her: forgiveness, patience, perseverance, love, sacrifice. These are the qualities Jesus displays, he forgives our sins, no matter how big; He is patient with us, even when we make the same mistakes over; he does not give up on us and he sacrificed his life for us.

4. Who is your favourite artist / band and why?

I cannot say I have a favourite artist or band, but I do enjoy those individuals or bands that tend to glorify God in all their music. But I always enjoy Shirley Caesar.

5 .
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

MAYO MPAPA NAINE NKAKU PAPA…Mother, carry me on your back because I will do the same. It is two fold, it can mean: parents should look after their children well, and then when they are old, their children take responsibility over them. Or secondly it can mean: scratch my back and I will scratch yours…do something good to someone; you never know when you will need their help!

6. If you knew you were going to die in six month’s time, what would you do from now until then?

For me, God and Family are the most important things in my life. I would serve God in any way I can possible and spend the rest with my family doing all the sort of things that make us a family.
